HENTON AFTER DARK AND BALMORAL HENTON SUCCESSFUL TAUPO THREE DAY EVENT
Henton After Dark (Anamour/Distelfink) and Sam Felton, took the lead in the dressage phase of the recent Taupo Three Day Event at CCI** level, they completed the cross country the following day to retain the lead. Jumping last in reverse order on day three saw one wee rail drop to put them in final second position in this prestigious Championship class. Balmoral Henton (Contendro I/Distelfink) ridden by Sim Kann competed this young horse in the CCI* class. They were within reach of the winner through out the competition and the final phase came down to, again, one rail. Albeit for that one rail this young horse, with a bright future, would have taken out the CCI*. So very close for both these horses ! Henton Lodge wishes both Sam and Sim all the best with their Henton horses for the coming spring season in New Zealand, after they have a well earned break. Photo is of Henton After Dark.
HENTON ATTORNEY GENERAL AT TATTERSALLS, IRELAND
Henton Attorney General (Anamour/Distelfink) and Lizzie Brown have had a fantastic run at CIC*** at Tattersall's horse trial, Ireland. The pair were 10th after dressage, with a rather "fresh" Frank. They show jumped, but unfortunately picked up time faults, being second to go before it became apparent time would be tight, so had a relaxed cross country round to come home clear but with time. Great to have his first 3* run under his belt for some time. Henton Lodge looking forward to their next run.
NEW HOME FOR HENTON AMARDA & HENTON SERENADE
Henton Armada (Anamour/TB) and Henton Serenade (Satisfaction/Distelfink) have found new homes at Bellwood Equestrian, the home of Tom and Christen Lane. The young three and four year old fillies, respectively, are reported to have settled in well to their new home and are working well. Henton Lodge wishes Tom and Christen all the best with their new young Henton horses.

HENTON AFTER DARK WINS CIC** AT HORSE OF THE YEAR SHOW
Henton After Dark and Samantha Felton convincingly won the CIC** class at the recent New Zealand Horse of the Year show. Henton After Dark, Albert to his friends, took the lead after the dressage of over 2 marks, from the best of the two star horses in New Zealand. They made light work of the cross country course adding no further penalties. The cross country track was, for the first time, run through the middle of the main rings and the shows grounds. Tapes established the track and at times these were six deep with people - it looked like Badminton! The third day saw the pair confirm their win with an impressive clear showjumping round. Sam sealed her dominance in the class by also taking out second place with her other ride Ricker Ridge Escada. Henton After Dark is by Anamour from the Distelfink mare Distelene. Henton Lodge have retained a full sister to Henton After Dark - Henton Anastasia, she is currently breeding. Henton Lodge wishes Sam and Albert all the best for their next start.
HENTON FOR FUN WINS IN ENGLAND WITH WILLIAM FOX-PITT
Henton For Fun and William Fox-Pitt have had a great win, at his first Intermediate for the season, at Gatcombe recently. According to the owners of Billie, Tara Glen and her mother, the weather was atrocious, making the going very difficult. He was 6th after dressage, show jumped clear and was clear cross country, only adding time faults mainly due to the bad weather. Henton For Fun won the class with a 6.6 point margin. Henton Lodge wish Billie, William and the Glenn's all the best for his next run.

Raewyne is very much looking forward to bringing her new "wee gentleman" out next season. Henton Lodge wishes her all the success with the lovely Thomas. The picture attached is Thomas and Nicole having fun at Equidays last year - Nicole reported he did not turn a hair during the spectacle, a credit to his temperament.
